Jan. 26 (Bloomberg) -- The price of Kenya’s benchmark coffee grade fell 13 percent at an auction yesterday, the Nairobi Coffee Exchange said.
The average price for the grade declined to $512.14 for a 50-kilogram (110-pound) bag, compared with $589.68 a week earlier, the exchange said today in an e-mail from the capital, Nairobi. Supplies of the grade dropped 8.2 percent to 6,983 bags, while the maximum price for the grade dropped from $1,011 to $726 a bag, it said.
