Vietnam February coffee exports to hit 90,000 tons

HANOI (Commodity Online) : Vietnam’s coffee exports for February are likely to hit 90,000 metric tons valued at $180 million, according to country’s General Statistics Office.
In a report, GSO said coffee exports are forecast to rise 17% in terms of volume and 64% in value.
In February 2010, Vietnam exported 77,000 tons valued at $110 million.
The GSO revised the country's January coffee exports to 145,000 tons compared with a previous estimate of 140,000 tons.
In crop year that began Oct. 1, Vietnam has so far exported 525,000 tons of coffee beans, or 8.75 million bags, up 5% on year. The value of these exports was $972 million, up 38%.
